The 13 triangular shaped pieces fit nicely into the spiral shaped
tray without leaving any significant space. Your job is to rearrange
the pieces so that the 14th round 'pearl' piece can also be placed in
the tray.
Squeezing an extra piece into an already full area is not a new idea,
but this is the first time that this has been done in a spiral shape.
This was my souvenir puzzle at the 26th International Puzzle Party.
13 triangular pieces were used because this is the number of original
'colonies' of the United States. This was the first Puzzle Party to
be held in the New England area, the birthpace of our nation. |
